After the April 2019 Rebellion in London, I started volunteering for Extinction Rebellion. As I believe fashion is a powerful means of communication I joined the XR fashion groups.
On Friday 26th of July, we wrote to the British Fashion Council begging them to cancel London Fashion Week. Caroline Rush, CEO of the BFC replied agreeing that ‘we are facing a climate change emergency and all need to act.’ But our demands have been rejected.
On Tuesday 13th September we started our protests in the name of truth and justice. Fashion industry is one of the most polluted industry in the world and we are facing an ecological and environmental crisis, where fashion is not doing enough.
